People seek counselling support for a broad range of reasons; whether in response to life events, or because something just doesn't feel right.
There doesn't need to have been a crisis or significant event to access support. We live busy lives, often juggling competing commitments, and at times, things become difficult to manage. We can lose sight of what's important to us, feel off balance, and find it hard to cope with everyday life.
I have supported clients who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, uncertain, uneasy, unfulfilled, unable to switch off, or low in mood.
I have had the privilege of supporting clients through a wide range of life's challenges, including bereavement, loss, life transitions, ill-health, identity crisis, low self-esteem, sexuality, employment, family and relationship troubles, and trauma.
Counselling allows time, dedicated to you alone, to discuss and explore whatever may be going on for you at this point in your life. I offer you a uniquely unconditional, non-judgmental, compassionate, safe space to do this. The only agenda is yours.
Hello, my name is Fiona. I'm a person-centred counsellor with a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
My passion for supporting others has shaped my working life. I've worked in residential care with young people, in pastoral and family care within a secondary school, and as a Mental Health Advocate with adults.
Above all else, I am a human with a desire to support my fellow humans through this journey we call life.
Having encountered and overcome my own personal and health challenges, I have lived experience of how counselling offers the time and space to explore feelings and emotions, to understand oneself better, and to develop self-awareness and resilience.
As well as my private practice, I am honoured to offer counselling support to people accessing services through the Lincolnshire charity, St Barnabas Hospice, supporting individuals, carers and families facing life-limiting or terminal illness.
I offer face to face appointments in Peterborough, from a shared therapy space at 5 The Metro Centre, Welbeck Way, Woodston, Peterborough, PE2 7UH.
I also offer face to face appointments in Market Deeping, from the Deepings Community Centre.
